Festival Saturday

We started our day at the Pancake House in Corona with an egg and toast for Jackie and a stack of Buckwheat pancakes for me which I was unable to finish, Just too much food. Oh yeah, Bacon of course.

After breakfast we drove out to Newhall to the Melody Ranch. The Garmin took us 20 to 30 minutes out of our way, so we made it a little later than we wanted. Lesson learned, don't trust Garmin by itself.
When we arrived we had to stand in line for over 45 minutes to get on the shuttle to the Ranch. Crowds where big.

 On the shuttle.

Back of one of the sets.

Cool Iconic view. This has been in so many movies.

This Saloon has been in almost every western.
We left the ranch after about an hour and decided to go home the back way on hwy 138.  On the way, we saw a sign for the Poppy festival in Lancaster. Well off we went. Two Festivals in one day. Yahoooo!

Lots of shade and grass. A really big festival. All kinds of booths selling everything you can think of.

 The subject of the Festival

Kids playing in vinyl blow up balloons.

They said Pig On A Stick. A whole pork chop. It was great. I even ate half of Jackies.

Well till next time. We intend to relax tomorrow. Way too much fun.
